DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus & Manual Samuel by Perfectly Paranormal!
This week on Craft Beer and Indie Games, we played Manual Samuel by Perfectly Paranormal.
You play as Samuel, a normal everyday aristocrat, tasked with completing simple mundane tasks like brushing his teeth, taking a shower, and putting on his clothes. The only issue here is that Samuel’s lost all control of his body, and so each [and every] bodily function must be handled manually (by you). For example – in 2player mode, 1 player controls inhaling while the other handles exhaling. As you can now probably imagine, having every action split up between two players causes hilarious confusion and chaos.
Manual Samuel an incredibly funny and hilariously difficult game. Every time we finally figured out a communication system and started to make progress with one task, a new wrinkle was added to our scheme, forcing us to work together to get past our own laughter and endure difficulty of teamwork.
This was one of the most fun games we’ve played in a long time and we look forward to playing it again very soon.
To pair with this game, we chose the delicious and exciting SWEET BABY JESUS! by DuClaw Brewing Co.
SBJ is a smooth and tasty as all hell chocolate peanut butter porter. It’s subtle sweetness, velvety mouth feel, and intoxicating notes of chocolate, peanut butter, coffee and malt makes for an undeniably exclamatory situation. After every sip you’ll feel the urge to yell “SWEET BABY JESUS!” from the rooftops.
This beer is simply amazing and we enjoyed every last drop – just like the game. We highly recommend trying both together as they blend perfectly – but they’re both so damn good that if you can only lock down one of the two it’s definitely still worth enjoying.
Until next time, get ready to control Manual Samuel, manually move your mitts on to some Sweet Baby Jesus and get to business!
